Chalk up another college hockey recruiting win for Boston College.
On Wednesday, former Belmont Hill standout and current U.S. National Team Development Program forward Sam Lee (Woburn, Mass.) committed to the Eagles.
Lee grew up as a star for the Boston Junior Eagles before moving to the Minuteman Flames for his 15O year. He was a top player for Belmont Hill last winter as a freshman with 32 points in 31 games. He accelerated to become a junior over the summer.
He's known for his high-end skill. Lee dazzles with the puck, sifting through and around coverage with relative ease. He's a smooth skater and, at 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, has no problem getting to high-danger areas.
He is a top-six forward through and through.
In this year's QMJHL Draft, he was taken in the third round by the Moncton Wildcats.
Andrew Waugh commits to Brown
Speaking of Belmont Hill, Waugh, an '06, committed to Brown on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 190-pound winger played 17 games for the QMJHL's Québec Remparts last season before switching to the CCHL's Navan Grads, notching 12 goals and 22 points in 29 games. Through six games with the NAHL's Corpus Christi Ice Rays, he had one assist.
The Norwell, Mass., native was a standout for Belmont Hill from 2022-25.
He also filled in as a sub on my men's league team this summer. Yeah, that's what got the Brown commitment over the finish line.

Dylan Rothstein commits to Yale
Rothstein committed to Yale in late September. I love this get for the Bulldogs. At 5-foot-9 and 154 pounds, Rothstein is an intelligent, do-it-all center who can play in any situation. Center, wing, power play, penalty kill — he can do anything.
He had 21 points in 24 games for Taft last season before moving to Salisbury this winter, where he should be a top weapon for head coach Andrew Will.
Interestingly enough, Rothstein's older brother JT is committed to Harvard.
Michigan State committed...an '11?
Yes, you read that right. Earlier this week, Michigan State got a commitment from Canadian forward Jayden Challenger, an '11.
According to Jeff Marek, Challenger accelerated academically to become a junior, making him eligible to commit to a Division 1 program.
Challenger played up at the 15U level last season for the Toronto Marlboros, tallying 70 goals and 111 points in 58 games. Through seven games at the U16 level this fall, he has seven goals and 18 points for the Marlboros.
A top '10 goalie picks Providence College
In mid-September, goalie Chase Pastor committed to Providence College.
At 6-foot-3 and 194 pounds, Pastor is one of the top 10 goalies in the United States and earned an invite to NTDP Evaluation Camp earlier this year. While he didn't make the team, he was still picked in the sixth round of both the USHL Phase 1 Draft (Chicago Steel) and the OHL Priority Selection (Sarnia Sting).
Pastor has been a standout netminder for the Woodbridge Wolfpack over the last two seasons and is back with the program this fall.
UMass gets a commitment from an '07
On Wednesday, Penticton Vees forward Tyler Deakos committed to UMass. A seventh-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens this past June, Deakos has five points in seven WHL games this season.
The '07 forward is 6-foot-1 and 174 pounds. From Alberta, he played for the AJHL's Drumheller Dragons and the USHL's Waterloo Black Hawks last season.
He popped for Waterloo with 17 points in 19 games.
