Four New England Prep School Athletic Council hockey stars were named to the 2018 U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team that will compete in the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup.
The roster was selected from the players who competed at the recently completed USA Hockey Select 17 Player Development Camp at the Northtown Center in Amherst, N.Y. The Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, formerly the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, takes place August 6-11 at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta and Servus Arena in Red Deer, Alberta.
The event brings together many of the world’s hockey powers in an effort to showcase the following year’s draft talent to NHL scouts and other top brass. All players in the tournament are born in 2001, the first year of eligibility for the 2019 NHL Draft.
