New England boys prep hockey is back, which means it's that time again — time to look at Top Performers.
For the last three years, we have examined the top performers from the previous week (or, in this case, since the start of the season) every Wednesday. It's a nice way to go around the region and give recognition to those who are producing the most. That will continue this year.
As a reminder, it's purely stat-based. Most goals, most assists, most saves.
I love doing these every week. It's fun to track who is dominating, breaking out and getting in here for the first time. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
This week is a bit different, as some teams played games before and right after Thanksgiving. Those will be included.
For the first time in 2025-26, let's dive in.
Holt
Top skater:Â Mason McGovern, Austin Prep
What a start to McGovern's prep career. The eighth-grader started with two goals and an assist to beat North Yarmouth Academy, 8-3, on Nov. 25. He followed that up with a hat trick in a 6-2 win over Kents Hill, three assists in an 8-2 victory against Académie Saint-Louis and two more lamplighters to beat Hoosac, 5-3. He's an '11 who played on the Islanders Hockey Club's 14U team this fall.

It's been a great opening act for DuBois. He made 34 saves to beat NYA before turning in a 23-save effort to beat Kents Hill and 31 more saves to get past Hoosac.
Honorable mentions:Â Max Levine-Stein, Pingree (29 saves on 30 shots in one game); Von Larson, Pingree (22 saves on 23 shots in one game); Branden Davis, Austin Prep (28 saves on 30 shots in one game); Brody Levering, Hebron (45 saves on 46 shots in one game)
Housatonic
Top skater:Â Jack Broderick, Kent
There were many worthy candidates in the Housatonic (look at all those honorable mentions). And while Schlechtweg had one more assist than Broderick, the Cornell commit had four goals this weekend at the Exeter Invitational. After posting three assists in a 6-1 win over Hoosac, Broderick scored the game-tying and winning goal in the final two minutes to beat Dexter Southfield, as well as posting an assist. He posted the same stat line the next day in a 4-2 win over New Hampton.

Top goalie:Â Anthony Palmer, Avon Old Farms
The Housatonic may have the best goaltending in the region. Palmer stood out from the rest, posting two shutouts. He made 27 saves to take down Williston Northampton, 1-0, before turning away 22 shots to beat St. George's, 4-0. The Lynnfield, Mass., native is a senior and is no stranger to being in our Top Performers.

ISL Eberhart
Top skater:Â Caiden Pellegrino, St. Mark's
Pellegrino is on another level through three games. The Providence College commit tallied two goals and two assists to beat Académie Saint-Louis in an 11-0 win on Nov. 20. He followed that up with a hat trick and two assists in a 7-2 victory at Milton Academy and then a goal and two helpers to beat Winchendon, 6-3. His 12 points lead the region.

Top goalie:Â Alex Wang, St. George's
On the surface, this looks controversial. In four games to open the season, Wang has a game where he gave up six goals and another with four against. The counter: Wang stopped 57 shots in that 6-1 loss to Brunswick on Nov. 21 and turned away 39 shots in a 4-0 loss to Avon Old Farms on Saturday. In between that, he made 54 saves to beat Thayer, 6-3, and 34 saves to shut out Roxbury Latin, 4-0. He has been under siege.

ISL Keller
Top skater:Â Joe Feinberg, Milton Academy
No one really separated themselves among point-getters in the ISL Keller. But Feinberg was a goal-scoring machine in Milton's first three games. He scored in his team's 7-2 loss to St. Mark's and tallied his team's lone goal in its 2-1 defeat against St. Sebastian's. In a 7-6, back-and-forth OT win over Berwick, Feinberg scored twice, including the winner, and notched an assist. The Needham, Mass., native already has over half his point total (nine) from last season.

Top goalie:Â Tommy Saulnier, St. Sebastian's
Saulnier had a nice first week. After making 22 saves on 25 shots in a 4-1 loss to Rivers, Saulnier was dynamite to beat Milton, 2-1, making 44 saves. The Arrows will go as far as the Medfield, Mass., native will take them.
Honorable mentions:Â JJ Thibodeau, Belmont Hill (43 saves on 45 shots over two games); Tyler Moschella, Thayer (40 saves on 42 shots in one game)
Lakes
Top skater:Â Josh Phillips, Kimball Union
Kimball Union has played the most games of anyone in the region, hitting the ice six times between Nov. 19 and Sunday. That said, Phillips was dominant with two goals and 10 points. Phillips tallied at least a point in every game except for Sunday's 3-2 win over Brunswick. His best showing was scoring twice and adding an assist against The Hill School on Nov. 22.

Top goalie:Â JR Bonia, Brewster Academy
In past seasons, the Lakes Region Top Goalie of the week has usually been with Kimball Union or Holderness. There were multiple contenders this week, but no one was under siege like Bonia. Bonia made 62 saves to beat Northfield Mount Hermon, 6-2, on Nov. 19. He followed that up with a 52-save win to beat Vermont Academy, 3-2. He gave up seven to St. Paul's in a 7-1 loss, but he still had 54 saves. That's quite a stretch.

Independents
Top skater:Â James McMurray, Berkshire
Berkshire's top line of McMurray, Lacombe and Rainisch is off to a torrid start. McMurray leads the group with five goals and 11 points in three games. McMurray had multi-point games in wins over Académie Saint-Louis, Hebron and Albany Academy. Even in the 5-2 loss to Taft, McMurray assisted on Erion Milla's goal.

Top goalie:Â Kamden Jackson, Williston Northampton
Jackson had an incredible start to his Williston career. It started with 39 saves in a 1-0 loss to then-No. 4 Avon Old Farms. Then came a 41-save performance to tie Westminster, 1-1, and a 19-save shutout to take down Vermont Academy, 3-0. The '09 from Manchester, N.H., is one of the top uncommitted goalies in prep.
