Former Boston College star Noah Hanifin gets All-Star nod

As Carolina wages battle for an Eastern playoff spot, D-man Hanifin continues his ascension

Like a few of his former Boston College teammates, Noah Hanifin could still be putting the finishing touches on a standout collegiate career within the next month or two.

That fact makes it even harder to believe that the defenseman from Norwood, Mass., played in his 200th NHL game at the beginning of January and was selected to represent the Carolina Hurricanes and the Metropolitan Division at the NHL All-Star Game for the first time in his career less than a week later.
