
Boston Junior Eagles 16U and Mid Fairfield Rangers 16U played the final game of the EHF/Mass. Selects League Columbus Day Showcase at Boston College’s Conte Forum on Sunday afternoon.
The majority of the showcase’s games were played at Warrior Arena in Brighton, Mass., and at Conte Forum. This particular game had ample interest, given the numbers of ‘03s with USA Hockey NTDP potential.
The organizations boast two of the top minor midget teams in the New England region, but the Jr. Eagles came out on top, 3-1. Recent Yale commit Philip Tresca had two goals and an assist, while Nick Roukounakis had a goal and two assists. Northeastern recruit Jack Hughes had two assists. Boston College commit Paul Davey had the lone tally for Mid Fairfield.
A few miles down the road, Cape Cod Whalers 16U and Boston Junior Bruins 16U finished out the EHF/Mass. Selects League Columbus Day Showcase at Warrior Arena. The Whalers' lineup was significantly depleted due to a variety of issues.
