Quinnipiac recently landed one of the top ‘03s in the country when Sam Lipkin committed to play college hockey for the Bobcats.
Lipkin, a left wing from Lafayette Hill, Pa., was one of the top forwards at USA Hockey Select 16 Camp.
He will be joining the North Jersey Avalanche program in 2019-20, competing with the 16U team. Lipkin’s size and ability to protect the puck and drive the net are his top assets. He’s picked up a step and become more explosive over the past year.
Incoming Kimball Union goaltender Zak Brice committed to Arizona State, it was announced last week. The ‘03 from Anchorage, Alaska, is a product of the Little Caesars program based out of Detroit. He is on the smaller side, but he’s an athletic goaltender with quick reflexes. He made the All-Star Game at USA Hockey Select 16 Camp.
