With the NCAA National Letter of Intent early signing period coming up at the beginning of November, the recruiting trail stays abuzz with news.
Waterloo Black Hawks defenseman Aaron Bohlinger announced his intention to play college hockey for UMass. The '00 from Walden, N.Y., played two seasons for Omaha AAA before heading to junior hockey last season where he had a monster year in terms of production with Alberni Valley in the BCHL. Bohlinger racked up seven goals and 30 assists in 59 games for the Bulldogs.
This season, Bohlinger has two goals in his first eight games with P.K. O'Handley's squad. Bohlinger moves pucks with his feet, skating, and strong hockey sense. He's undersized, but he can be an impact player in transition as well as on the power play.
