Dexter Southfield defenseman Mikey Adamson committed to play college hockey at the University of Massachusetts, it was announced over the weekend.

The Quincy, Mass., native will be a senior at the Brookline, Mass., prep school in 2019-20. In addition to playing for Dan Donato at Dexter, Adamson plays for the Neponset Valley River Rats 18-U.

Adamson is a somewhat undersized defenseman, but he skates very well and plays with jam.

“Mikey’s skating and compete level is unmatched. He will have success at the next level because of these two great attributes,” Donato said of his left-shot defenseman.
