Dexter Southfield senior Ben Raymond has committed to play college hockey at Colgate University, it was announced on Friday.
The '01 left-shot forward from Newton, Mass. is set to begin his third season playing prep school hockey for Dan Donato's program. During the 2018-19 season, Raymond had 18 goals and 12 assists in 30 games.
In addition to playing prep school, Raymond plays split season hockey for the Neponset Valley River Rats. His top asset is his speed. He keeps his feet moving and made great progress in his game from his sophomore to junior seasons.
"Ben has worked extremely hard over the last two seasons with us. He's a great skater and has great skill. I think he’ll have a lot of success at the next level," said River Rats 18-U head coach Ross Pasquantonio.
