BRAINTREE, Mass. — On paper, Phillips Andover was no match for Thayer Academy. But, that’s why you play the games, as the old saying goes.

Thanks to two goals from Colin Marks and a big effort in net from Charlie Archer, Phillips Andover skated out of the brand new Thayer Sports Center with a 2-1 win over the hosts.

Phillips Andover struck first in the first period on a power play tally from Marks. His wrist shot from the high slot found its way into the top part of the net.
