Boston College has received a verbal commitment from Paul Davey, one of the top 2003-born forward prospects in the United States.
BC assistant coach Mike Ayers watched Davey at two recent recruiting showcases, USA Hockey's Select 15 Player Development Camp and the BU Prep Showcase. Davey said he chose the Eagles because of the program’s tradition of excellence and the school's academic reputation.
“I’ve watched Boston College play for years," Davey said. "They play fast and recruit great players, and I feel very lucky to be included."
“My Mid-Fairfield coach, Ryan Haggerty, played for BC and I loved all of his stories about the hockey program," Davey added. "BC is very strong academically and that was a big part of my decision as well."
