When Northeastern skated off the Conte Form ice at the end of the Women’s Beanpot, the last thing on the Huskies’ minds was winning a conference title.
The team finished last in the Beanpot in what already had been a disappointing season. Northeastern previously had upset Boston College and Wisconsin, so that lost potential stung all the more.
Coach Dave Flint (Merrimack, N.H.) did something he hadn’t done before, calling out his team at the following day’s 6 a.m. practice.
