Northeastern associate head coach Jerry Keefe has been named an assistant coach for the U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship in Vancouver, Canada.

The Billerica, Mass., native is entering his eighth year at Northeastern as the 2018-19 college hockey season begins. Prior to joining Jim Madigan's staff, he was an assistant at Brown for two seasons and the head coach at Division 3 program Westfield State for two seasons.

Keefe played college hockey at Providence College from 1996 to 2000 before embarking on a four-year minor pro career that spanned the U.S. and Europe.
