NH Junior Monarchs goalie proves doubters wrong, commits to Holy Cross

Kyle Chauvette has always heard whispers that he's too small to play college hockey. Despite continuing to make saves and earning an invitation to play for USA Hockey at last summer's U17 Five Nations Tournament, there were still doubters.

Thus is life when you're a netminder listed at 5-foot-10, 138 pounds.

On Friday, the Goffstown, N.H., native proved them all wrong, announcing his verbal commitment to play collegiately at Atlantic Hockey program Holy Cross.
