For the second consecutive season, a New England native will be the starting goaltender for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program U-17 squad.
Drew Commesso of Norwell, Mass., was named to the roster after being the clear-cut top goaltender at the NTDP Evaluation Camp in Plymouth, Mich.
Committed to play college hockey at Boston University, the two-year starting goaltender at St. Sebastian’s has been widely regarded as the top player in his age group at this position for a few years.
“I’m looking forward to becoming brothers with the rest of my team and creating memories that I will never forget,” said Commesso. “With the amazing coaching staff and an environment of working hard and while putting the team first, I think that we will have an incredible amount of success. I’m beyond excited to go out and become a better hockey player, and a better man in general.”
