Canterbury has a new voice at the helm of its girls hockey program.
Katie Mandigo has returned to the program as interim head coach for the 2026-27 season, the school announced Thursday. Mandigo takes over for Eliza Beaudin, who was recently named head women's hockey coach at Elmira College, her alma mater.
“Katie knows Canterbury, understands the expectations of our Athletics program and cares deeply about the development of every student-athlete,” Canterbury Director of Athletics and Co-Curriculars Rob Morris said in a statement. “She brings a strong knowledge of the game, firsthand experience competing at the collegiate level, and a clear understanding of the recruitment process. We are thrilled to welcome her back and have tremendous confidence in her ability to lead a competitive and rewarding season.”
Mandigo (Cornwall, Vt.) was previously an assistant coach with the Saints from 2017 to 2021, compiling a 29-44-4 record, before departing to pursue a graduate degree at Columbia. She was also an assistant coach with the varsity girls lacrosse program during that span.

Before her first stint at Canterbury, Mandigo was head girls hockey coach at Holderness for the 2016-17 season, going 10-13-1.
As a player, Mandigo played prep hockey at Loomis Chaffee before a strong collegiate career at Middlebury. She helped lead the Panthers to a NESCAC title in 2016 before reaching the NCAA semifinals. She also helped Middlebury reach the national championship game in 2013. In 95 games, she had 55 points (26 goals).
Beaudin departs the Saints after coaching with the program since 2022, taking over as head coach in 2024. Canterbury went 20-29-1 over the previous two seasons, including 10-14-1 in 2025-26.
