Jeff Hill has been promoted to full-time assistant coach for the University of Vermont hockey team.
The Cranston, R.I., native had spent the past two seasons as Director of Hockey Operations and the season before that as a volunteer assistant at his alma mater.
Hill was a backup goaltender for the Catamounts from 2004 through 2008 after playing prep hockey at South Kent. His previous coaching experience includes time as an assistant coach at Rice Memorial Prep and St. Michael's College, as well as three seasons as the head coach of the midget program at Culver Military Academy in Indiana.
