Another local has informed the U.S. National Team Development Program that they won't be going back for their U18 season this fall.
On Thursday, Boston College commit Jake Boguniecki (Orange, Conn.) requested his release from USA Hockey, according to multiple sources. Anthony Smith from 247's Eagle Insider was the first to report the news.
USA Hockey still must accept his release.
Boguniecki is a 6-foot-2, 176-pound right-shot defenseman who had a strong U17 year with the NTDP, putting up seven points in 46 games.

He's a stout, do-it-all, two-way defenseman who, if he progresses next season, should be a candidate to be taken in the top half of next June's NHL Draft.
The QMJHL's Gatineau Olympiques have his rights after they took him in the ninth round of last year's draft.
Others have informed the NTDP they aren't returning as well. Known players are Kane Barch, Broden McArthur and Trevor Daley.Â
