Boston College associate head coach Greg Brown is leaving the Eagles to join David Quinn’s staff with the New York Rangers, according to multiple sources.
Brown, a 1990 BC grad, has been on Jerry York’s staff since the 2004-05 season. In addition, the Southborough, Mass., native has been an assistant coach for USA Hockey at the World Junior Championship three separate times, including the last two years.
Brown was a decorated player in his own right, starring at BC for three seasons and playing for the U.S. at the 1988 Olympic Games. An offensive defenseman, Brown posted 24 goals and 96 assists for 120 points in 119 career games with the Eagles.
