Four Hockey East commits have been invited to the Canada West Selection Camp Roster ahead of the 2019 World Junior A Challenge.
The 2019 edition of the World Junior A Challenge takes place December 7-15 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. In addition to Canada West, the other four teams competing are the United States, Canada East, Czech Republic and Russia.
Boston College commits Jack Agnew and Peter Reynolds, Northeastern recruit Stanley Cooley and Providence commit Nicholas Poisson are the four players with ties to Hockey East schools.
Agnew is an ’01 right-shot defenseman playing for the Chilliwack Chiefs in the BCHL. In 21 games this season, he has two goals and seven assists.The Oakville, Ontario, native was a two-year standout at St. Andrew’s College, a prep school in Aurora, Ontario.
