The 16-U Red Division of the 2019 ECC Labor Day Cup, won by the Florida Alliance, featured a couple of elite players with NHL upside.
Florida Alliance, coached by Ryan Brindley and Steve Dubinsky, is a talented team, made up mostly of kids from Florida. Forward Gavin Brindley and defenseman Seamus Casey are locks to make USA Hockey’s NTDP.
North Jersey Avalanche lost to Florida Alliance in the championship game. Coached by Vinny Smith, the Avs have quite a few future Division I players and a couple of candidates for the NTDP, as well.
Mount Saint Charles had a team loaded with talent as well, including first line center Zachary Bolduc, a player being wooed by all the major college programs and Rimouski Oceanic in the QMJHL.
