North Jersey Avalanche won the ECC Labor Day Cup 18-U Red Division with a 4-1 win over the Junior Bulldogs on Monday afternoon at the ICenter in Salem, N.H.
While the 18-U Red Division lacked the high-end players that the 16-U and 15 Pure divisions boasted, there were some solid ‘01 and ‘02 prospects.
NHL scouts headed to the ICenter and a couple other area rinks to get a glimpse at Rochester Coalition’s Alex Jefferies, a Merrimack commit who plays at Gunnery during the prep season.
