Several top freshmen could play key roles for various teams around ECAC Hockey this winter.
While no rookie finished inside of the top 10 in scoring a year ago, Quinnipiac’s Odeen Tufto and Clarkson’s Jack Jacome did so during the 2017-18 season. There are several candidates to climb the scoring charts in ECAC Hockey this season.
This year’s crop of newcomers in ECAC Hockey are a diverse group with some true freshmen, NHL draft picks, and a couple of older players who could have more of an immediate impact.
On paper, Cornell and Harvard have the top freshman classes in ECAC Hockey. Both programs have brought in multiple NHL draft picks, including players who should contribute right away.
