Boston University head coach David Quinn has been tasked with leading the United States National Junior Team to a third straight medal at the 2019 World Junior Championship, USA Hockey announced on Friday.
The Cranston, R.I., native just completed his fifth season as the Terriers’ bench boss. Prior to his most recent stint on Commonwealth Ave., Quinn was an assistant coach with the Colorado Avalanche. Before that he was the head coach of the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters for three seasons. Previous college gigs included tenures as an assistant coach at Northeaster, Nebraska-Omaha and Boston University. He also guided the U.S. NTDP for two seasons.
