The Connecticut Junior Rangers advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament before bowing out to Toronto Pro Hockey.
The Toronto Bulldogs captured the 2018 Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament title with a 2-1 overtime victory over Toronto Pro Hockey in the championship game.
The Brick Invitational Hockey Tournament, showcasing 2008-birth year teams from across the continent, takes place every summer at the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta. This year’s tournament ran from July 2 to July 8. Many NHL stars and elite college players participated in the tournament’s previous renditions.
The Connecticut Junior Rangers were coached by former NHL star and Vermont alum Martin St. Louis, plus Jeff Hamilton and Kevin Peel-Ketchum. St. Louis' son, Mason, was on the team. His other son, Ryan, is committed to Northeastern as a 15-year-old forward.
