According to sources, Cole Eiserman (Newburyport, Mass.) has informed the University of Minnesota that he's decided to decommit and would like to play college hockey closer to home.
Eiserman committed to Minnesota on Sept. 7 of last year, as he entered his U17 season with the United States National Team Development Program. He was sensational last season with the program, scoring 43 goals and totaling 72 points in 42 games.
It didn't take long for Eiserman to pick a destination. On Wednesday afternoon, Eiserman announced his commitment to Boston University via his Instagram story.
In the U18 World Championship earlier this year, Eiserman had nine goals in seven games to help Team USA win the gold medal.

Through four games this season, he had five goals and eight points. He recently won USHL Forward of the Week after posting four goals and one assist over two league games.
His strong goal-scoring abilities have him projected to be a surefire top-five pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
