BOSTON -- Boston University continued its strong run of play, moving to 6-1-1 over an eight-game span dating back to Dec. 8, with Friday night’s 4-2 win over Arizona State in non-conference play. It was the Sun Devils’ first-ever visit to Agganis Arena.
“I think that's about as lucky as we've been all year as far as getting some bounces,” BU head coach Albie O’Connell said. “We've had games where we had four or five pipes, but the nice thing was that we had people at the net. We were crashing the net for the entire night.”
Getting to the net leads to good things, and it pushed BU above .500 for the first time all season at 10-9-3. A win is a win, but it was a night to remember for the Terriers in more ways than one.
Though senior co-captain Bobo Carpenter didn’t crack the goal column like he had four times in three different games since the start of December, the North Reading, Mass., native became the 83rd member of BU’s career 100-point club with his first of two assists to freshman Joel Farabee on the night.
