Brown University’s recruiting efforts have picked up steam as of late. On Wednesday, the Bears received a verbal commitment from Belmont Hill junior defenseman Brett Bliss.

The Chelmsford, Mass., native is a late ’01 who is often overlooked because he plays a smart, simple game. While not flashy, he rarely makes mistakes and can be counted on in the defensive end.

“I would describe my style of play as a two-way defenseman with good vision and strong transition passes that generate offense,” Bliss said.
