Bedford, N.H., native Alex Steeves was the only player from New England to make the team. In his second season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Steeves has four goals and seven assists in nine games. The former New Hampshire Junior Monarch is committed to play college hockey at Notre Dame. A late '99, he's in his first year of NHL draft eligibility.
The U.S. opens the World Junior A Challenge with a game against the Czech Republic on Monday, Dec. 11. All games will be broadcast on HockeyTV.
