U.S. National Team Development forward and Boston College commit Casey Mutryn (Norwell, Mass.) was picked with the 38th pick (Round 2) by the Seattle Kraken.
Towards the end of the third round, Moncton Wildcats forward and Boston University commit Rian Chudzinski (Needham, Mass.) was taken off the board by the Anaheim Ducks with the 82nd pick.
The Montreal Canadiens took Dartmouth defenseman Cooper Cleaves (Riverside, Conn.) a few picks later with the 93rd selection.
Cleaves was in his third and final year of draft eligibility. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders forward and Harvard commit Justin Graf (Lincoln, Mass.), in his second year of eligibility, was snagged by the Nashville Predators in the fourth round (118th pick).
The first New England native taken straight from prep was Thayer defenseman and Northeastern commit Brian McFadden (Holbrook, Mass.), who went in the fifth round (144th pick) to the Washington Capitals.
Dexter Southfield defenseman and Harvard commit Myles Brosnan (Winchester, Mass.) was picked in the seventh round (196th overall) by the Detroit Red Wings.
Other prep players taken were Deerfield goalie and Brown commit Elliot Lennon (Round 4, Pick 110; Ottawa) and Winchendon forward and Cornell commit Charlie Puglisi (Round 7, Pick 202; Nashville).
The six players taken this year were an increase over the five taken in last June's NHL Draft.
