The Division 1 men’s college hockey season is not even a month old, but it has had so much to offer so far.
Marquee non-conference games. Upsets. Newcomers making an impact. But it wouldn't be October around the college rinks without some surprises.
The top-ranked team entering the season has faced some adversity, while they and others have been forced to adapt following key injuries. There have been plenty of pleasant surprises around the region as well, including a couple of teams making some early noise against national powers.
