The 2018 NHL Midget Cup, hosted by the Boston Junior Bruins, will take place this upcoming weekend, January 26-28, at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, Mass.
There will be 18U, 16U and 15U Divisions. In addition to the host team, there will be several of the top 16U teams in the United States on hand for the second annual event. Little Caesars, Dallas Stars Elite, Colorado Thunderbirds and Pittsburgh Penguins Elite highlight the field. Islanders Hockey Club, PAL Islanders, Connecticut Junior Rangers and New Jersey Devils are a few of the teams from the Northeast that will be competing.
Two of the top 2002-born players in the United States will be in the tournament with Ty Smilanic representing Colorado Thunderbirds and Antonio Stranges lacing up the skates for Little Caesars. This is a big year for the '02s with the USA Hockey NTDP Evaluation Camp approaching and USHL, OHL and QMJHL drafts upcoming as well.
