NEWS & NOTES

* The Pens saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a 3-2 loss in Montreal Saturday. It's been a rough month for Pittsburgh. They enter tonight's tilt with six wins in 11 November games.

* The B's captured a 3-2, overtime win over the Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon. Boston has earned at least a point in eight of their last nine games (7-1-1).

* Torey Krug is expected to play after being dinged up blocking a shot in the third period Saturday. Adam McQuaid is a game-time decision.

FUN FACTS

Carl Soderberg (4 pts last 4 GP)

Reilly Smith (4 pts last 4 GP)

Patrice Bergeron (0 pts last 4 GP)

Dougie Hamilton (0 pts last 8 GP)

* Tuukka Rask and Sidney Crosby were each selected in the first round of the 2005 NHL Draft. Rask went 21st overall to Toronto. Crosby, of course, was the first overall pick of the Pens.

James Neal (6 pts last 3 GP)

Paul Martin (4 pts last 3 GP)

Pascal Dupuis (1 pt last 5 GP)

Jussi Jokinen (1 pt last 5 GP)

* Paul Martin was selected 62nd overall in 2000, just three picks after the B's grabbed Ivan Huml, who played in just 49 NHL games. Tonight will be Martin's 607th tilt. Only four players drafted after him have more games under their belt.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

* It seemed like we were just celebrating the breakout party for Boston's second line, but they've gone cold again. Patrice Bergeron has no points in his last four games, Loui Eriksson has none in three and Brad Marchand has just one in his last four tilts. If anyone's going to spark their revival, it might be Eriksson. He has 4-3-7 totals in seven career games against the Penguins.

* Rask has allowed three goals or more just four times in his 19 starts this season. One of them was when the B's visited Pittsburgh Oct. 30, as he fell to 1-5-0 liftime against the Pens in the regular season Will we see the Rask that's struggled against their vaunted offense or the one that completely shut it down in the conference finals last spring?

* Brian Gibbons will appear in his first game as a pro at TD Garden tonight. The Braintree, Mass., native took to the ice there often as a member of the BC Eagles from 2007 to 2011. Gibbons has 1-1-2 totals through four games for the Penguins.
