NEWS & NOTES

* The Bruins saw their four-game winning streak emphatically snapped in Vancouver Saturday, where they lost by a score of 6-2 to the Canucks. Boston returns home after going 3-1 on a four-game road swing that saw them pick up victories in Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton.

* Mike Cammalleri, one of the Flames' top forwards, might not be in the lineup. Coach Bob Hartley said he's under the weather.

* Calgary's gone 2-0-1 since losing to Boston a week ago today. The Flames notched 2-1 wins over Carolina and Buffalo before falling by a final of 4-3 in a shootout loss on Broadway against the Rangers.

FUN FACTS

Reilly Smith (6 pts last 5 GP)

Dennis Seidenberg (3 pts last 2 GP)

Jordan Caron (0 pts last 13 GP)

Matt Bartkowski (0 pts last 6 GP)

* David Krejci's goal the last time these two teams met gave him 3-5-8 totals in five career games against the Flames.

Paul Byron (4 pts last 3 GP)

Jiri Hudler (7 pts last 7 GP)

David Jones (0 pts last 7 GP)

T.J. Brodie (0 pts last 6 GP)

* Karri Ramo, who will be the backup tonight after helping the Flames earn five points in the last three games, made 40 saves in his lone game against Boston -- a 4-3 victory in February 2009 for the Lightning.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

* While he narrowly missed an empty-netter in the closing minute and failed to register a point in his return to Calgary, Jarome Iginla's first game back against the Flames was nonetheless a special experience. He gets to see his former club again just seven days later, this time with his new team playing host. Iginla's going to be in the lineup despite having his left ring finger significantly dislocated in a fight Saturday against the Canucks. Keep a close eye on how No. 12's shot release looks.

* It's somewhat surprising that Hartley wouldn't ride the hot hand and give Ramo a fourth consecutive start, but Berra fared well against Boston last week. The rookie netminder stopped 22 of the 24 shots he faced. Tonight's his first start since that game.

* When you stack up their home and road numbers, the Flames don't suffer a dramatic drop statistically outside the Saddledome. However, that isn't to say they're a good road team, despite being just one game under .500 (7-8-2) as the away team. The Flames have been outscored 56-42 on the road in 17 games, meaning they're giving up 3.30 goals per game to the opposing home squads. Boston's got a lot of players up from Providence in their lineup, but they have to be able to take advantage of this, especially given the fact that the B's are 10-0-2 in their last 12 tilts at TD Garden.
